Loola & Goo crowns are the perfect accessory for those regal moments, whether they be dressing up, being a flower-girl or simply jumping in puddles.

All our crowns are handmade and sit on a wide satin alice band. They feature exquisite embellishment, fine fabrics, metallic crochet, mirror work, pearls, diamanté and even peacocks!

Flapper Hairband

As the name suggests these gorgeous sparkly hairbands take inspiration from the theatricality of the 1920’s flapper girls. A delicious diamanté encrusted motif adorns an easy to wear stretchy metallic hairband and is finished with a pretty spray of delicate feathers.

Motif Hairband

The elegant simplicity of the circular motif is enriched with sparkly diamanté and fine metallic beadwork radiating from a velvet centre. These have proved to be our best seller time and again.

Made from the softest ostrich feather, these tippets are hand-dyed in the UK in delicate vintage colours. They are trimmed with metallic bias, intricate lace and are finished with hand-beaded faceted crystals. They tie at the neck with a beautiful double satin ribbon.

About us

Loola & Goo are friends Louise Harlen (Loola) and me, Julia Baker (Goo). We met five years ago when our eldest sons started school and soon realised we’d had similar career paths and shared many common passions, in particular costume and vintage fashion.
Louise has worked as a fashion designer all over the world for brands including Paul Costelloe, Karen Millen and Monsoon. She specialises in occasionwear and embellishment.

I trained as a set and costume designer before honing my skills as a costume maker at the Royal Opera House, English National Opera and Glyndebourne Festival Opera. I also made wedding dresses for Bridalwear designer Caroline Parkes.

With our unique combination of talents Louise and I realised that together we could create something special to be treasured and began experimenting with the fabrics and trims we had both squirrelled away over the years. We created our first collection of accessories largely inspired by the theatricality of the Roaring ’20’s Flapper Girls. Spurred on by the enthusiasm and support of our loved ones we began selling through local boutiques and fairs. We have been designing, hand-making and absorbing the steep learning curve of business alongside our growing families. We are excited to present to you our first wholesale collection.
